Q: Is this site legitimate?
A fair question, and absolutely it is legitimate. We run a number of sites around the world and have been giving away hundreds of prizes worth thousands of pounds for the past 2 years. If you have any concerns, please message us at email@example.com and we can share lots of positive feedback from our global users with you.
Q: I have a problem with a competition on this site?
Simply Media is the promoter for all competitions on this site. If you have any problems with a competition please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org we will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
Q: How are winners chosen?
We have our own bespoke system so when a competition ends, we click the magic button and out pops a name! It is completely random. The more times you enter a competition, the more times your name will appear in the virtual prize pot. So, rememeber to come back and enter daily to increase the chance of having your name appear on our winners list.
Q: What happens if I win a prize?
We'll send a notification to your My Account page (don't worry, it'll be obvious) and you'll be able to click on the claim button to claim your prize. If you haven't claimed your prize after a fixed amount of time, we'll email you a reminder to go and claim your prize. Depending on who is sending you the prize (us or a 3rd party such as a PR company or brand), details of where to send the prize will be taken from you and the prize will be sent out. You can also check out our winners list for a list of all our previous winners.
Q: Do I have to pay to receive my free prize?
We will either send you the prize (at no cost to you) or organise for you to collect the prize in person.
Q: What happens if the competition prize is damaged or doesn’t arrive?
Get in touch with us at email@example.com and we’ll work with you to sort this out and liaise with the prize provider on your behalf. We'd recommend leaving it 4 weeks before contacting us about a missing prize.
Q: Can I enter if I live outside of the UK?
Sorry, no. All competitions are UK only and can only be entered from within the UK. If you enter from outside of the UK and win, we will choose another winner.
Q: Can I enter more than once?
Absolutely, you can enter every day! However, you can only enter once a day until the competition closes.
Q: Can I create more than one account?
If you have more than one email address, you can use these to create multiple accounts.
Q: Can I give my prize to someone else?
It depends. For normal prizes that don’t need to be associated with someone (ipad, vouchers, make up etc) it’s your competition prize to do with what you want. Some prizes, for example, holiday prizes, could be locked to a winning name and therefore cannot be given to someone else without the permission of the prize provider, and some prizes may not allow you to give them away or sell them on. Any specific terms and conditions for a prize will be listed on the prize entry page.
Q: What happens with the name and email address I give you? Will I get spammed by marketing companies?
No, no, no, no, no! When you create your account you agree to our terms and conditions and make a choice about whether you want to receive marketing from us. This consent ONLY applies to us contacting you - if there is a need to pass your detail onto a third party (claiming a prize, special offer available etc) then we would ask your explicit consent for this to happen. If you do win and the prize is being supplied by a 3rd party (such as a PR company or brand), they may have a different policy to ours, so make sure you check when giving them additional personal information.
Q: How do I delete my account?
We'd hate to see you leave, but understand that some people will want to. To avoid accidental account deletion, we don't have a 'delete account' button. To have your account deleted, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and provide us with the email address your account is registered under. We will then check if you have any active competition entries - if you haven't, we'll delete your account and all associated data immediately and inform you when this is done. If you have active entries, we'll message you to confirm that you still want to go ahead with your deletion and then act upon your request before notifying you that this has been done.
Q: I want to change the email address on my account - how do I do that?
This is easy - just email us at email@example.com, tell us the email address currently associated with the account and the email address you'd like us to change it to and we'll do the rest. Please allow 48 hours for this process to take place (although we usually do it straight away!)
